WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BREEDERS? From the outside looking in you may think that all breeders are the same. You may think that every breeder gives
their puppies and dogs food and exercise so it does not really matter where you get your future furry friends from. But it does matter. Good breeding is not only for a good looking, well mannered, happy puppy it is also for the best health of your new baby.
All breeders do things a little bit differently. Take us, for example. Our name is Summer Knight Kennels and we are a Canadian Breeder, but you
won’t find any kennels here. We raise our dogs running around our home just like everybodys companiont and we like to spoil our fur babies. This means that we give them
everything they need to be healthy and happy. That also means there’s nothing resembling a kennel here. We are a home. PROPER NUTRITION Proper nutrition is as important for you as it is for our fur companions. It decides health and energy levels and even affects our dogs’ demeanors. When dogs are still puppies nutrition is the most important. They need the right nutrition to grow into strong and healthy adults. When you get a baby Chihuahua from us then you can rest easy knowing that this puppy has been enjoying proper nutrition even before it was naturally weaned because mom and dad had proper nutrition too.
EXERCISE Again, just like people puppies and dogs need exercise to be healthy. We allow our dogs to playfully romp around our home and we have a 1/4 acre fence yard for them to explore and they do this every day. This serves many functions. Our dogs get the exercise that they need, the experience of the great outdoors that enables stay a healthy weight, and play in the fresh air and sunshine that they love. They have full access to the house and their home any time they want.
At Summer Knight Kennels we are a kennel in name only. The truth is that we raise these dogs in our home and on our 1/4 acre with all the love and care that you ould give your beloved family pet. This is why we know our dogs make such great family companions for you.
I now litter train my puppies with lots of success. You can see more on litter training
on this link. I use wood pellet litter also used in cat boxes and pellet flame wood stoves. By the time you et your puppy will be well on the way to being house trained which makes life
with a new puppy so much easier. Give the puppy time to adjust to your home and then you can begin work to train your puppy to go outside by showing
them where to go outside and taking them for walks everyday, the puppy will soon learn to ask to go out. All working parents need to purchase is a playpen or a portable pet pen and equip it with food, water and a litter
box. The other option is baby gates and cordon off the kitchen or bathroom while you are gone.LITTER TRAINED PUPPIES
